Purple Rain
27-Feb-04 to 14-Sep-09
Also
known as Major-Lee Cute, this boy was just a teddy
bear. Majey was peacefully laid to rest on the 14th
September 2009 after suffering health issues for some
time. We miss him terribly. No more will we see that
big smile, the crazy flirting with the pretty ladies,
or share cream bun kisses with our boy. The visitors'
shoes remain where they left them, not buried down
the yard; our gardening gloves are left as they are,
not spread across the yard; and the back of the ute
is empty and forlorn. We are all lost without you,
but we loved you enough to let you go free and we
will see you in Heaven, where you are with your sister
RahRah and Auntie Dottie the Rottie. We miss you Majey
Wee. So much.
Incredible boning was one of Major's most obvious
features, along with his fabulous fawn coat and very
loving nature. It wasn't worth trying to put a hand
around one of his front legs - YOU COULDN'T. You needed
two hands to get around one leg. His boning was jealousy
inspiring and he was a handsome hunk with a lot of
love to give.
Major
was rarely shown and then only for a bit of fun as
he really would rather just shake hands and visit
different gazebos for morning tea than do that 'ring
stuff'.
Major much prefered to spend his days overseeing the
farm and protecting the women and the hens. He let
himself in the hen house one day and was just cruising
around seeing who was who in the zoo. He never touched
a single one and he was definitely a big softie who
loved cuddles. Although he would have liked it if
Shadowe didn't boss him around so much! He loved his
nephews and nieces and was a very devoted son and
brother. Everyone who met Majey wanted to take him
home. Thankfully he was a big lump and hard to hide
under a jumper! Though we did take to checking visitors
cars before they left... Major really was a sweetie
and we adored him very much.
Major
could often be found snoring on the highest platform
he could find or digging a hole just to see where
it ended up. You were just too darn cute boy and you
knew it. I reckon if the editors of Macquarie Dictionary
ever saw you baby, they'd just put a picture next
to the words 'cute', 'adorable' and 'gorgeous'. Afterall,
a picture says a thousand words. Thanks for the kisses
and the love - Majey-Weeeeeeee ya big spunk. May the
skies rain purple joy for you sweetheart. Until we
meet again. You were a blessing and we remain ever
grateful that you were our blessing.
